Now, I don't much like bush beans, but this one is excellent, and so far Maxibel is the only bush green bean I can count on. Really really nice strong stocky healthy plants hold the pods well off the ground and produce tons of thin, perfectly straight bright green pods. I pick them over three times before the plant finally give up, and that was under very dry conditions last year. Tasty fresh or steamed. Too tender for canning, but they can be very lightly steamed and frozen.
