Grown since the 1980’s, Sugar Ann is the earliest of the snap peas. They can be planted as soon as the ground is workable, and in only 60 days you will be picking tons of very sweet crunchy round pea pods! Excellent for snacking, salads, Asian recipes, steaming, and can easily be blanched and frozen! The vines are very short, only about 18” tall, and don’t require staking if you don’t want to. Or contain inside a standard tomato cage. They like to make one big crop and then be done, so plant Sugar Snap a week after planting Sugar Ann to extend the harvest season. I have been growing for many many years.
