This is the tomato to beat all to the 'First', at about 55 days from transplanting. I have been growing this one for 17 years and I plan to keep growing forever. The first harvest may be somewhat acidic, but further harvests get sweeter and very flavorful. The plants are pretty small to be putting up on a trellis so just lay down some mulch and let 'em sprawl. They are covered in 2" red fruits, with some green shoulders, the perfect size for canning whole because they pop right into a small mouth canning jar, and keep producing right up until a frost.
