Nantes  is another great variety that I grow with excellent results. About 6" long and 1" across with blunt ends, sweet, juicy and bright orange. Their shorter length is appropriate for all soil types. an excellent carrot for eating fresh out of hand. I have been growing this variety with excellent results for 10 years.
