Also known as Napa cabbage. Chinese cabbage is fun to grow for something different in your salads, coleslaw, and stir-fry. Very fast growing and easy to grow, particularly in the cool spring and fall. I do not usually bother to let it make a head, rather I plant thickly in a mass and harvest as a cut baby green, about 8-10” tall. Its mild crunchy juicy flavor is great in all kinds of Asian dishes.
