Developed in 1964, this is the best red fleshed watermelon I have tried! Large and round, about 20# each, with juicy dark red very flavorful sweet flesh, and thick rinds that won’t crack. The original Heirloom that made Sugartown Louisiana famous. Very disease resistant and easy to grow, expect about 2 fruits per plant.
